Surprise, surprise.. An all white outfit! I wore this out on my last day at Bacolod. I thought that it would be a great idea to stick to wearing just one colour, a colour I don’t usually wear. I even worked my entire outfit around this lovely Marc Jacobs top! Thing is, I couldn’t help but add a little more of my own style into this look so I wore a cool acid washed chambray around my waist and some Topshop slip-ons that got extremely muddy during the Lovedance event during our first night at the City of Smiles. I’ll be blogging about my amazing and unforgettable trip to Bacolod very soon so be sure to watch out for it!
These photos were taken on my first full day in Bacolod City, known also as the city of smiles. I decided to wear something that would stand out (not that I wanted “that” attention but I felt I wanted to look good for people I might be meeting for the first time) and also something really comfortable, chill and relaxed. I figured I would go for this great electric blue straight dress. It was perfect that this dress I chose was blue, being the color of Smart…my ever dependable telecommunication. I matched it off with some jelly accessories like my Furla bag and my Melissa x Jason Wu sandals. I think I was successful in keeping myself comfortable and cool. This outfit served its purpose during our trip to the Ruins. It was a little bit humid, having drizzles every so often and it was also a day filled with a lot of munching!
I must say, people in Bacolod know what living is all about starting with such really good food. Sadly, I think I gained weight from this three-day trip. It was absolutely such an enjoyable trip, also being with my good friends David, Cams and Kryz at such a happy place like Bacolod. Oh gosh, watch out for my succeeding posts about Bacolod. I can’t wait to tell you about the rest of my trip!
I’m not a big fan of brown because I feel like I don’t know how to wear it plus as you have all noticed I am more of the black and bright kind of girl. But I felt it was a colour I had to play around with when I decided to wear my Mullto bucket bag from Halo Halo. It’s interesting because this bag of mine is not only locally made but it uses recycled plastic which is weaved together to create the amazing pattern you see at the bottom of my bag. It gave me this very chill, summery and earthy vibe; despite the gloomy and wet weather that day. The primary consideration that day was my new bag. From there I came up with my brown draped tee, jeans and my Christian Louboutin brown boots which were calling me to use them that day! It’s been a while since I last wore them. Well, this is one example of how I also get to put an attire together. I use one main item, that will put the whole look together, and work around it using complimentary colors. Try it! Oh by the way, enjoy this weekend! By the time you read this I will be in Bacolod to celebrate the Masskara Festival! It’s my first time here so you can only imagine how excited I am! Any tips for a first timer here in Bacolod? Let me know!
This October I took part in my first every #TeenWeekPH experience! an advocacy for high schools students to be future ready and give them tips on how to move forward. Pond’s, Creamsilk and Rexona all team up to make #TeenWeekPH happen! They got several influencers to be part of this campaign to reach out to high school teens and teach them how to make their teen life awesome, not awkward. I was very lucky to be a brand ambassador along with fellow bloggers and other celebrities. I didn’t know what to expect except that I knew it was going to be one amazing experience. For the opening ceremony, I along with my fellow Teenfluencers took part in various booths that highlighted different stages of growing up. These booths were called Move Up Monday, Transform Tuesday, Work It Wednesday, Think Big Thursday and Future Friday.
Last October 2nd, I was invited by Preview Magazine to attend the Suiteblanco opening at SM Makati. I’ve always known and been a fan of this brand so to be able to witness the opening of their new store as well as their unveiling of their latest collection, I was thrilled! There was a fashion show, some cocktails and even time to shop before it was open to the public. I bought a number of pieces which you might have seen on my blog actually! But before all that, let me show you what happened during the event.
