Whenever I fix my clothes before heading out (yes, I am slightly obsessive compulsive that way), I tend to stick to two of my favorite colours — black and white. But since it’s summer I threw on a light denim jacket and my favorite straw hat to make it my look more playful. And yes, one can surely wear a denim jacket during the summer! I had to take something to cover me up because my cropped top was not only, well.. Cropped but it also had a caged back, so that definitely helped in keeping me cool that afternoon when my jacket wasn’t on.
Btw, I don’t like bringing this up but I guess I’ll have to since they can be seen in my photos. Forgive the allergy marks on my legs. I could’ve edited them out if I wanted to but I decided to let them stay there but I guess I just wanted to keep things real. Sadly, whenever the weather gets to be a tad bit too hot, these little things decide to pop up due to my sensitive skin. Besides, if I edited them out and you saw me out with them on my legs? Wouldn’t that just be embarrassing! Lol
On Sundays, I always make it a point to dress down.. So, as usual last Sunday, I decided to do just so. BUT! Don’t be surprised that I’m in heels, you should all know that my flats actually hurt so much that I swapped them for my heels instead. I was surprised that I ended up wearing them entire day instead! It was definitely new for me, but I survived! It’s been awhile since I last wore heels inside a mall. Good thing my favorite Valentino heels surely added some extra something to my already super duper laid back look. To literally top it all off — my sister gave me this top when she got home and I knew it was the perfect piece to be worn on a Sunday afternoon. Gotta love laid back dressing! Ugh, it’s the best!
Boho dresses have been something I’ve really been into lately. Surprise? Aside from the fact that it’s still summer here in Manila (but sadly the rain is slowly creeping in.. Noooooo), they’re just so comfortable and stylish but of course! I especially adore the style, cut and print of this particular one that I’m wearing. It was actually a gift to me and the moment I saw it, I knew I would enjoy wearing it without a doubt! I have another one of these dresses — but in red, so watch out for that on my blog. The detail on the back adds a great touch to the dress as well. I stuck with the whole navy blue and gold colour scheme cause aside from those two colours going so well together, I of course needed my gold Lulu Dk tattoos to match my outfit as well!

Last Saturday, the hottest and freshest summer concert took place.. The #CloseupForeverSummer Festival! We don’t have many music festivals in Manila so I think these are the times we can play dress up and pretend we’re at Coachella or at the Governor’s Ball. I didn’t want to go all out Vanessa Hudgens boho and such for my look (even if deep down inside I wanted to, haha). With that said, I couldn’t help but wear a cool, chill and very much laid-back outfit by using an off shoulder Carissetop and some lace up gladiator sandals! I even used this super cool Mansur Gavriel bucket bag that afternoon.. Luckily, my sister Pauline is back for a few weeks so we can finally lend and borrow clothes from each other again! Yay! One of the perks of having a sister.
