For this outfit, I kept things cool and simple with some black and white.. Here I go again with this gorgeous colour combination! Can you blame me? I wanted to use the LAMB heels I got a few days back so badly that I guess the colours followed through for my entire outift. Whenever I don’t have anything to wear (common girl problem, right?), I tend to lean towards and start sticking to neutrals, especially black and white. They just seem to work every single time! That’s why, putting those two colours in one outfit just makes for a perfect combo. So, I paired off my new pumps with an electric pleated leather skirt and a simple cropped top — but in order to add a bit of a contrasting detail, I brought my faux snake skin purse along with me and placed some coral coloured lipstick! I wore this to a meeting but I think I could’ve worn this out to a fancy dinner or to a bar with some friends. What do you think?
Being a blogger is a fantastic and exciting job but it can take a toll on my social life.. My personal social life that is. Yes, due to work, which I treasure a lot, it’s been difficult to just chill with friends — those friends, who I actually I grew up with. So, for my Fresh Start I made it a point to spend time with those friends of mine. Think of it as a New Years Resolution of some sorts.
It felt great to rekindle old traditions, chat about how it was like growing up with each other, what our lives are like now and everything in between. I really enjoyed this whole Fresh Start project that I, as well as my other blogger besties got to do. Because of this project, something positive came out of it. We each got to try out new things, commit to it, make it a priority and enjoy everything about it including learning life lessons. What about you guys, what is that one thing you’ve been wanting to do or try doing for the longest time? It is never too late to start, so, what are you waiting for? Start Mo Na!
Whenever I attend shoots or certain events, I like wearing comfortable clothes. Why? Because I like to stay as comfortable as I possibly can. My no fail look would have to be shorts and a loose top with a pretty wide neckline, I call it the blogger off duty look! So, I make it a point to wear clothes that won’t constrict my movement, get too crumpled easily or wreck my hair and makeup after spending hours on a chair. I usually wear flats but this time around, I thought it would be awesome to wear my new pair of gold heels to dress this look up a little bit more. Also, since it’s been pretty chilly lately I brought my oversized American Apparel linen blazer with me to keep me all warm and cozy. I wore this to the Pond’s event I attended yesterday. So, what do you think of my latest laid back outfit post?
Months back, I was given the amazing opportunity to give a talk about how being an entrepreneur and blogging work together in front of about 120 students from iAcademy. This was not the first time I’ve talked about such a topic, I’ve been a panelist for Go Negosyo as well as the Entrepreneur Success Summit, both have happened within the past three years so it’s something I’ve very proud of! Also, I am definitely proud of the fact that others see that blogging for me isn’t just fun and games. It’s something serious for me and it’s my job. With all that aside I’d like to share with you all photos from the talk! Aside from me, fellow talk-givers were Rob Pengson and Krei Reyes – Lopez, each of us specialized in different things but on thing all of us had in common.. We are entrepreneurs. I just want to say a massive thank you to iAcademy for having me give a talk that afternoon during your Arts Festival! To all the student present that afternoon, I hope you all learned a thing or two from me as well as my fellow talk-givers (cause I know I sure did). More photos after the jump! Enjoy!
Mixing prints is surely something many of us love to do or experiment with (it’s also something many of you suggested or want me to do more often this 2015). For this outfit post, I opted to do something different – mixing the same print! Okay, maybe not mixing but pairing would be a better term. I actually bought these Zara pieces separately but since they were the same print, I thought it would be cool to wear them together. Another thing I like about these two pieces are that the way the stripes on them don’t match each other, one on my top is the usual, upright or straight. Then the was the stripes are layed out on my skirt is sort of diagonal. I guess that’s what sort of helped my look become a little more interesting. If only getting dressed was as easy as matching prints all the time. That would definitely make life so much easier when it comes to getting ready. Also, I may be hopping on the same print trend bandwagon a little late but then, as the saying goes, better late than never, right?
