Okay, it’s been awhile since I last blogged (sorry, I was on vacation mode) but I’m back.. Back again! Okay. I may not be the sportiest girl out there but I can always feel like I am just by dressing like one. I recently got myself a pair of neon coloured Adidas Originals ZX Flux sneakers and knew that I needed to wear them as soon as I possibly could. These shoes are so light and comfortable that these have got to be my new current favorite pair of kicks. I worked my outfit around my new trainers but this was also an outfit I threw together really quick. Because I didn’t want to look too casual, I made sure to layer, wear a bunch of accessories and hold on to a neon Rachel Roy clutch.
The brand Kenneth Cole has been around for years, since 1982 to be exact, and it’s been here in Manila for as long as I can remember. But, last August 15, Kenneth Cole celebrated the new look of their Rockwell branch! From free TWG macarons to Starbucks frappes, that event was definitely one for the books. As for the store? I noticed (and not to mention loved) how they converted the store to look a lot more New York apartment-esque. It’s definitely much brighter and now you can see everything that goes on inside the store!
Hello, neutrals! I am so sure you’ve all had those days wherein you just pretty much wanted to wear something basic and simple, in muted colours. This outfit was worn on such a day. I picked up this super awesome sweater my sister gave me and paired it off with my favorite American Apparel tennis skirt. Gosh. How much more neutral can it get, right? Oh! And for the record, I wore this out to a chill lunch out. I’d like to think that this is a pretty good day-to-night sort of outfit.
When I was asked to give a talk at San Beda for Chalk Magazine‘s Campus Tour, I immediately agreed! As nervous as I knew I’d get, I was still beyond excited to give a talk about fashion as well as meet the students of San Beda Manila (my grandfather and uncles went to school there, that’s why). I wanted to make sure to impress the crowd so aside from making a pretty rad presentation, I made sure to dress up in something that would catch your attention — and what better way to do that than by wearing a neon orange skirt from Topshop?! I made sure to get all glammed up before the talk so I made my way to Salon Privat to get my hair and makeup done. Gosh, I wish I had a glam squad that followed me around, haha!
If you didn’t know, I actually got to guest on Tim Yap’s show last Wednesday!! It was such a fun experience and I couldn’t believe that I was going to be on TV. I had fun working with Tim because it felt like we were just telling stories like how we usually do when we see each other out. We spoke about style and fashion as well as jumped on the bed — which my parents didn’t allow me to do when I was a little girl! haha!
